The Art of Allowing – Lesson #3

When I drive alone in my car, I use the time to listen to inspiring CD’s.
I am currently listening to Dr. Wayne Dyer’s CD The Power of Intention.
If you haven’t heard it yet, I highly recommend it. His words, the sound of his voice and the simple but true concepts really make you stop and think.
He truly is the father of motivation and inspiration for good reason.

Dr. Wayne Dyer

His philosophy is pure and simple, “The law of attraction is this: You don’t attract what you want. You attract what you are.”
“Most people’s mistake in trying to apply the law of attraction is they want things; they demand things. But God doesn’t work that way,” continues Dyer. “It’s all about allowing.”

We can do this best when we relax, live from our intention, our higher purpose, and love. Only then do we “allow” the law of attraction to work through us, without trying to force it, fear it or worry about it. I believe Mother Teresa is a perfect example of this amazing art of allowing and living in intention. She said, “Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.”

“You have to just be. You have to let go. You have to allow. You have to be free and make this your consciousness.” Dr. Dyer says, “Basically, what you would see is a frequency (of energy) that manifests itself through the process of giving, of allowing, of offering and of serving. It asks nothing back.”

Try it today. Try just “being” and allow your intention to flow through you. Offer to serve and help people whenever you can without asking for anything in return…that’s the art of allowing and living in intention. It is liberating and freeing…I am a work in progress.

One person can make a difference…that one person is YOU!

With love and peace,

Create a Dream Team – Lesson #2

In my ongoing search to “learn something new for 30 days” lesson #2 is the importance of creating a dream team.
It came to me from a convergence of many different things I have seen, read and heard all around the same time.
I have heard this many times before, but, it’s all a matter of “timing” in our lives when the light bulb finally goes on and we “get it”…that sweet, wonderful AHA moment!

For every person who accepted an award on stage during the Emmy’s the other night – they all thanked a whole cast and crew of people both on set and off who helped them achieve their goals. Remember when DreamWorks was founded by Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen? Though each of them are incredibly accomplished, the combination of the three and their networks of people has produced amazing results. Likewise, every sports team, Olympic athlete, or accomplished person has a dream team behind them, to whom they credit their success.

Key components to a dream team include:
1. Supportive believers
2. Motivated, action-oriented keeners
3. Mentors

Believers can include supportive family members and friends who believe in us and rally behind us to pursue our dreams and goals. They are key to helping motivate us when we feel defeated or challenged. They help push us up the hill we are climbing so we can reach the top and enjoy the view. (This is what the campaign “I Believe She’s Amazing is built on – the powerful influence of the people who “Believe in us.”)

A dream team should include people who are motivated and keen about achieving a goal. They should be “action-oriented.” Achieving any goal can only be accomplished with consistent and persistent action.

Mentors are a key part of a dream team. There are plenty of people around you who have already achieved what you are trying to do. If you know them, take time to interview them to find out how they succeeded. If you don’t know a mentor personally, reach out to one you “know about” and request to interview them, or read a biography about them to learn what they did. Most people are happy to share their wisdom, it’s one of the beautiful sides of human nature.

I could never have created the “I Believe She’s Amazing” flash mob video without a fabulous dream team of people. I owe a great big thank you to my husband and my 3 little girls, my wonderful in-laws (yes-I know I’m LUCKY to have great in-laws), the AMAZINGLY talented choreographers at The Dance Corps-Christianna, Stefanie, Maureen and Kim along with Sandy the ultimate supporter to TDC, all my videographers – especially Eric, Special Events Boot Camp volunteers, all my wonderful “dance-mom” friends from TDC who not only danced in the video but helped in so many different ways to keep things flowing and organized during rehearsal and filming, and 200 INCREDIBLY talented-benevolent and eager dancers from all over who devoted two days of their lives to create the video and who then became my ambassadors in spreading the video on the Internet.

Do you have a dream team yet? Write a list of all the people in your life who could help you accomplish your goals and dreams, then ask them to be a part of your Renegade Dream Team.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. Never stop believing one person can make a difference… that one person is YOU!

Big love to all my fellow dreamers,

Kim

30 Days of Learning – Be Open to New Opportunities

In my attempt to expand my knowledge and grow (as well as to learn how to master this whole blogging experience and be more consistent with it) I have taken on a challenge from my dear friend Anastacia Brice at 30daysoflearning.com

First, you must know that I believe Anastacia is an AMAZING WOMAN!

Beautiful & inspiring Anastacia Brice

Anastacia joined the I Believe She’s Amazing journey rather early on. After watching the video and being extremely “moved” by it she sent me a beautiful email message. I learned that she happened to be the founder of the world of Virtual Assistance, having created AssistU She is also a professional coach, a writer, a community builder, the founder of the 30-Day Projects, a Salon host, and… so much more, because she loves to do fun, loving, and worthwhile things. She was on to building a new Internet delight…The Friendship Salon: 30 days to Deepening friendships. She posted the I Believe She’s Amazing video to her site and she invited me to do a fabulous interview by phone for her June installation of guests, called Inspiring Friendships and their ability to transform our lives.

My interview with Anastacia was booked for about a month. A day before the interview I got a special opportunity to bring my 11-yr-old daughter Madison with me to meet the 21 delegates from the G(irls) 20 for the launch of the Dove Movement – I have written so much about! I couldn’t pass up the chance to expose my daughter to such INSPIRATION so I decided to do BOTH! The launch went longer than scheduled (doesn’t that always happen when you have another commitment?), I had about 45 minutes to prepare and find a quiet spot to do the interview by phone. There was so much noise in the building as people milled about engaged in conversation. Madison and I couldn’t find a good location anywhere, not even outside, where lunch hour traffic in the area was bustling, and my 45 minutes had dissolved to just 5 minutes.

so……….

Madison and I went down the hall from where the launch had taken place, in search of a quiet room. All we could find (that was empty) was a large single bathroom, which just HAPPENED to have an extra wooden chair in it, positioned next to the toilet (divine intervention shows up in the smallest and most peculiar of ways). BINGO! This was our spot!

Madison looked at me for a moment with an expression of, “Oh please don’t let her be serious!”

I gave Madison the best seat in the room (the wooden chair beside the toilet), I put the toilet seat down and sat on top of it. For an hour, we hid in the quiet bathroom stall, with only one knock on the door, and a few whispers from Madison about how hungry and bored she was getting. Anastacia and I had a good laugh over it-as did Maddie and I, over lunch. It is a moment I will NEVER forget. One of those crazy mompreneur moments that only happen once (thank God for Madison), but leave a lasting memory.

The interview was wonderful, Anastacia was gracious and kind and I know we both felt a connection of deeper friendship brewing. When I got a Facebook message about this opportunity with the lovely and inspiring Anastacia I thought this is the right thing to do now. To push me beyond my comfort zone…to learn something new every day for 30 days of September. I will attempt to write a blog post about each new thing – each new day (now that’s a test in itself).

Join me and lots of other lifetime learners if you’re up for the challenge, and share what you learn in 30 days. You can find out all the juicy details at Anastacia’s site the link is 30daysoflearning.com

A big thanks to the AMAZING Anastacia for creating this idea and inviting me to stretch my thinking! The first thing I have learned today is to be open to new opportunities that may come your way, that can help you grow as a person and/or entrepreneur…like this challenge!

And so it is that day ONE of 30 days of learning begins! Speaking of ONE…Remember ONE person can make a difference…that one person is YOU!

With love,

Kim

Is there a young girl you BELIEVE in?

My wonderful friend Erika–the inspiration behind the campaign I Believe She’s Amazing–BELIEVED in my daughters. She celebrated in all of their accomplishments-big and small. She was a source of joy, friendship and unconditional love.

She was the first person they called to share exciting news about school, dance or a new book. She “showed up” in their life any way she could, whenever she could…by phone, email and of course in person.

Her dedication to my children astonished me, and still does even as I write this. I am filled with emotion as I recall the beauty of our friendship and her commitment to my children, to be there for them and to share in the magical moments of their life. When she was in the same room as them, it was as if everything else stopped. She entered their world and played at their level – whether it was Barbie’s, Little Pet Shop or Webkinz.

She came to a few of their lessons each year, she never missed a birthday party, she even attended their dance recital just days after receiving a round of chemo-looking radiant and beautiful in white.

Erika-just days after chemo-at my children's dance recital

When I told Erika that Maddie was being bullied at school she immediately said, “Put Madison on the phone.” As Maddie held the phone to her ear, listening in silence, her face instantly turned from sad and scared to laughing and smiling. “Okay, okay,” Madison giggled into the phone. “
What did she say that made you giggle?” I asked. She said, “Don’t pay attention to what one mean kid says-she’s got serious issues…remember I believe you are amazing…always remember that okay kiddo.” Those simple words lifted a veil of darkness for one eight-year-old girl. The next day after school, Erika showed up on our front porch. After hugging and kissing my children she asked Maddie if she had any new Pokeman cards (her favorite thing at the time). “Let’s go get some Madison-we’ll be right back you guys.” They returned about 30 minutes later, Maddie had new Pokeman cards along with a new carrying case for them, and little treats for Ava and Elle. Maddie was glowing, imbued with a renewed sense of confidence and joy, not because of the cards, but because of the valuable time and attention Erika had shown her. Erika used to tell her oncologist that these brief visits with my girls were her munchkin therapy. The truth is, her visits were great therapy for my girls just as much as they were for Erika.

I share this with you because there is power in believing in little girls. In reflecting back, it is clear to me that Erika was a mentor to my children. If you are lucky enough to end up with a friend that develops this type of bond with your children, you are all truly blessed. It’s kind of like buying your favorite product and discovering a FREE bonus pack attached-it’s a WIN-WIN for everyone!

That is the power and message of the campaign I Believe She’s Amazing…it is a reminder to recognize and acknowledge the amazing girls and women in your life. Let them know how you feel…send a note, make a phone call or share an inspiring song or video. The smallest act of kindest can make a world of difference in someone’s life.

Although Erika lost her battle with cancer last year, and we miss her terribly, she left a huge impact on our souls…she changed our lives forever. Her beautiful spirit continues to touch lives as we share I Believe She’s Amazing with people around the world, who help us “pay-it-forward.”

Share this video with all the amazing girls and women you know…it will lift their spirits and change their lives to know someone Believes they are amazing.

Never forget ONE person can make a difference in the world…that one person is YOU!

Positive Fabulous Women

I think Katia Miller is amazing!

Katia Miller

When life gets difficult one of the best decisions we can make is to change our circumstances, surround ourselves with positive people and be fueled by inspiration.
That is just what Katia did when she created the popular Facebook women’s group Positive Fabulous Women, often referred to as PFW.

Growing up Katia didn’t have inspirational female role models that she looked up to, but she craved it. PFW fulfills her longing by providing a place where women can come together for 360 degrees of inspiration, supporting and encouraging each other in life, business and family. PFW offers monthly workshops and networking meetings as well as valuable friendships with like-minded women who are dedicated to living life to the fullest. Katia has become a well-loved and trusted friend to many, including me.

When I set out to recruit “dancers” for my flash mob, I was told by countless sources that my goal of 200 people was a bit too high. That it would be difficult to find that many people willing to give up seven-hours on a Saturday and a few more hours on a Sunday without getting paid. I asked for help from all my friends who had a network they would be willing to help me reach, including Katia.

For two straight days my email was bombarded with the subject line “Count me in for the flash mob-PFW.” Within a couple of days, I had surpassed my goal of 200 recruits. The final flash mob video features around 50 PFW members, the highest response of any network. That’s the power of trust. Katia’s members trust her immensely, so when she suggests something, not only do her members read it but they take action to respond. I am truly grateful for our friendship and support in all that we do. We share a common desire to dream big and help one another.

If you’re feeling defeated or aimless, wishing you had a good mentor, think of my friend Katia, and how one woman turned her life around by “being the change she wanted to see.” She took action to surround herself with positive energy, creating a place where she could grow in good company.

I know I am not alone when I say, “Thank You” to Katia for making our little part of the world a much better place.

Never forget one person can male a difference…that one person is YOU!

The Key to Accomplishing Any Goal

I believe my daughter Madison is an AMAZING young girl.

She is 11-years-old and loves to dance. Every year she sets new goals for herself that she wants to achieve in dance . Then she takes action, every day, to accomplish her goals and she inevitably succeeds.

With the exception of ONE MOVE.

For the past year she has had her sights set on landing an aerial (a cartwheel with NO HANDS on the ground). This has been the most challenging goal to achieve.

My husband would take the mattress off her bed and drag it downstairs, clear a path in our dining room and spot her in her aerial. With my husbands powerful lift-she would fly through the air like a bird, but she could never quite master it on her own. Keep in mind, the idea of turning upside down, without your hands below to support you in case your head hits the ground…does take an enormous amount of mental preparation.

Last night at dance class she attempted this move again. I watched through a window as her coach gave her instructions on what she had to do. I couldn’t hear a word, but in her face, I could see her mind working to process all the directions. She sped down the mat, lifted her arms and….fell. She did this a couple of times, falling hard on her knee. I cringed each time she got up and slightly limped off the mat to wait at the back of the line, to try once more.

When her turn came again, she stood at the mat, preparing for her fifth attempt. Her head was slightly down, her eyebrows raised and her lip turned in. She nodded as she took in all the advice from her coach. She was so focused, I could almost hear the synapses in her brain connecting and processing all the information. When she was ready, she took off down the mat, leaped in the air, lifted her hands and…LANDED ON HER FEET!!!

My entire body was covered in GOOSEBUMPS! Every parent at the window cheered, her coach was delighted and all her fellow dancers clapped for her. It was an AMAZING moment to see the sense of PRIDE and ACCOMPLISHMENT in her smile.

When she came out of the class I HUGGED her hard and congratulated her on successfully achieving this LONG-TERM goal she had held for over a year-never giving up on TRYING. I asked her what she was thinking that made her land it THIS TIME. She said, “Just before I started to run I said I CAN DO THIS and the whole way down the mat I just kept saying to myself…STAND UP-STAND UP-STAND UP!”

I asked her what she thought BEFORE, when she wasn’t landed her aerial, and she said, “I’d think, I hope I don’t land on my knee again.”

There is the KEY to accomplishing ANY GOAL, choosing the right thought…the thought that will take you to WHERE YOU WANT TO BE.

Anything you desire can be yours with TRUST, FOCUS, DETERMINATION and Believing you CAN do it!

Whatever goal you may be reaching for, choose the thought that will TAKE YOU THERE…the thought that says I CAN DO THIS…and then BELIEVE in yourself…SEE YOURSELF DOING IT. You can truly do anything you set your mind to…you just have to point your mind in the right direction. So point away…and STAND UP for your GOALS!

Never stop believing one person can make a difference…that one person is YOU!

In love and gratitude,

Madison, Mommyhood, Mentorship and a Worthy Movement

Looking at this title I realize I could have called it Mmmm…and indeed it is delicious…which is why even writing about it now…a month later, I am still savoring every minute of my memories (I did it again – another Mmmm word).

Madison & I at Dove Movement launch

Madison & I at Dove Movement launch

Thanks to YummyMummyClub.ca founder Erica Ehm (who for the record I think the world of), my daughter Madison and I were invited to be part of the launch of the Dove Movement for Self Esteem, a new Dove initiative that focuses on self-esteem, reaching your full potential, feeling confident in your beauty and the power of mentors.

I had the most incredible day-for so many reasons, here are just a few:

1. I had the chance to spend “alone-time” with my eleven-year old daughter Madison (which any of you multi-tasking mom’s of 3 know is a feat in itself). I hadn’t ridden the subway since university (which was over a decade ago…or more). We rode the subway together downtown for the first time ever. It was Madison’s second time taking this mode of transportation and her curiosity and interest in all the sites, sounds and people made me grateful to be in her company.

2. We had the great privilege of meeting some pretty amazing women including two wonderful and inspiring women, Dove’s Ambassador Jess Weiner whose work parallels my own “Creating a nation of confident women and girls” and journalist and moderator Jennifer Hollett who was a muchmusic host and founder of YouthCARE. (humbling to be in their company indeed)

3. Madison had a chance to be surrounded by a lot of empowered and empowering young women from around the world…

Madison (in the middle in pink) surrounded by the 21 G20 Delegates

the 21 delegates from The Belinda Stronach Foundations Girls20 Summit. The girls were given the chance to share what they would tell their 13-year old selves if they were mentoring them. The majority of the 21 delegates talked about the importance of “believing in yourself and your dreams.” (to say I loved this confirmation of my own mission is an understatement).

4. Madison chose a couple of the delegates to do a short interview (from China, Africa and Turkey). She asked them if they knew an amazing woman. She also had the chance to interview the warm and loving Jess Weiner (who Maddie and I both adored) and the inspiring Jennifer Hollett (who extolled great advice about making a difference). It was like a dream come true to watch Madison interact with some of the delegates whom I had had the great honor of meeting and hearing speak the week before (you may recall a previous blogpost I wrote about the G20 Summit, where I sat the whole time wishing I had at least one of my daughter’s with me…careful what you wish for) J

5.

Madison and I both had the chance to sign the original “Dove Movement” banner.

6. We enjoyed lunch together; some laughs and a great conversation about the entire experience on the subway ride home.

I could list many other reasons I enjoyed this mommy-daughter experience with Madison but I think the very best part of the day was riding home on the subway when I asked her how she felt about the day and the theme of “feeling good about yourself and believing in your dreams.”

She very calmly looked at me and said, “I think it’s all wonderful mom and it was so great to meet all those amazing girls and women. But I already believe I can do anything I want to do, so that part was just kind of cool that so many of those girls from around the world feel the same way I do.”

Mmmm….Mmmm…Mmmm! Need I say more?

Checkout the movement. Be a mentor. Believe in yourself and your dreams.

Never stop believing one person can make a difference…that ONE person is YOU!

Ps-the video interviews will be up as soon as I can figure out how to edit and upload my videos-I’ll be learning it next week.

A Very Special Canada Day Celebration

When my girls woke up today they came downstairs shouting, “Happy Canada Day!” We all shared an excited exchange of joy at the meaning of the day. Then my eldest daughter, Madison, turned to me and said, “I know this is also Erika’s 33rd birthday. Even though we all miss her a ton, let’s not be sad today let’s celebrate her wonderful life. She would want us to do that mom.”

How wise she is for eleven. How truthful her words are.

So…celebrate her life we shall!!!

Though it was everyone’s hope and dream that Erika would continue to play an instrumental role in my daughters’ growth and evolution into young women, I am grateful that our souls ever touched one another. We have been left eternally changed by that profoundly beautiful connection.

To have had the experience of unconditional love, mutual respect and enjoying each other’s company is a gift we shall forever treasure.

Erika was “that” person my children thought to call when they wanted to share a meaningful accomplishment, a challenging moment or an upcoming event. And she was always there for them…a loving ear, a considerate heart and a trusted friend.

Erika celebrating with my girls at a dance recital

Erika celebrating with my girls at a dance recital

She made them feel accepted, loved and beautiful. She appreciated their smiles, their laughs…she shared in their discoveries…their first loose teeth…their dance recitals and she gave them support and encouragement through challenges.

Erika and Madison shared many similarities…a face full of gorgeous freckles…a scar from life-saving surgery on the right side of their abdomens, and a thirst to try and enjoy every new thing life had to offer.

Madison and I were invited to attend the Girls 20 Summit last week to mark the launch of the Dove Movement in praise of mentors. I suppose I hadn’t thought about it before…but upon reflection of the wonderful discussion we enjoyed, that was led by the amazing Jess Weiner, there is little doubt that Erika was a valuable mentor to my three young daughters.

Madison and I at "Dove Movement" launch

The great thing about mentors is that once you have been exposed to one, the impact of their friendship never fades; rather, it sets the foundation upon which a strong character continues to build.

On this Canada Day…we celebrate our mentor who is physically gone…but lives on in our hearts eternally. And when we watch the brilliant fireworks light up the sky tonight we will think of the little freckle faced girl who thought the night sky was lit up in honor of HER birth-day. I can’t help but smile thinking about how Erika lit up OUR world and all the magical ways her light and energy continue to ripple through the hearts and souls of everyone who has joined us on our journey to create this living legacy in memory of a friend, a mentor, a truly amazing woman.

In honor of Erika’s birthday I invite you to join our movement...be sure you tell the amazing women in your life that you think they are amazing today and everyday. You could just change someone’s life forever…the way Erika changed ours.

Never forget one person can make a difference in this world…that one person is YOU!

With much love,

The Girls 20 Summit-Sponsored by The Belinda Stronach Foundation

Last week I had the great honor of attending the Girls 20 Summit in Toronto, the brainchild of Belinda Stronach, a former MP who is now the executive vice-chairman of Magna International Inc. Her foundation The Belinda Stronach Foundation, organized the event in collaboration with Oxfam, Save the Children and the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, among others. This forum gives young women from around the world the opportunity to meet and discuss the greatest issues facing girls and women, to have a say in global policy and to represent a voice for 3.3 billion women worldwide, as a prelude to the G20 summit taking place this week.

I sat in the audience at University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business listening to bright, articulate female panelists representing global women’s foundations that are doing incredibly important work. They included Pamela Shifman of the NOVO Foundation, the Nike Foundation’s Swan Palik, Sarah Degnan Kambou, president of the Washington-based International Centre for Research on Women, Jill Sheffield of Women Deliver and Zainab Salbi of Women for Women International. Each amazing…each inspiring!

The panelists were asked to address the following question and provide recommendations:
“What is the greatest challenge facing girls and women today?

The women spoke passionately, and at times through tears. Their answers intersected along the same theme: lack. Girls and women of the world lack ––respect, safety, personal rights, education, health, freedom of speech, opportunities to be employed and to be paid fairly when they do work.

As I listened to the horrific statistics from the developing nations about child brides, gang rapes, the number of young girls who are pulled out of school to care for other siblings or to get married to an older man in an arranged marriage, I felt my arms wash over in goose bumps and tears well up in my eyes.

I have three little girls of my own whom I am raising to be strong, confident, intelligent young women. I am raising them to believe that they can be and do anything in the world they set their minds to…now and as they grow up. While I am proud of the opportunity, education, experience and self-respect they have…as a mother, I feel compassion for all the world’s daughters. I feel compelled to do MORE.

There were twenty-one young female delegates, between the ages of 18 to 20, representing each of the G20 countries, as well as a representative from the African Union. Each of these girls had the opportunity to share her ideas and hopes for creating change in the world. I was awe-struck by their bright, articulate observations, and in some cases, by the harsh reality of what they see every day, as well as their courage, strength and hopes for a better future. Many of these young girls are attending university, active in their own communities as agents of change, They are using their voice to make a difference…inspiring and amazing to say the least. I Wanted to reach out and hug them all, instead I showered them with heartfelt words of praise, “I believe you are amazing young women. Keep dreaming and thinking and doing what you’re doing. What a fabulous opportunity this is for the world to meet you.”

Amazing young women of the world

All the way home in the car my mind raced with ideas, germinating from seeds that had been planted long ago. Some seeds that had been growing from conversations I have shared at bedtime with my daughters as we discussed the reality that many other girls their age face-that they are not allowed to attend school, they are not safe, they are forced to marry and have children at an early age. My children’s wide-eyed expressions when I speak to them, mirror what I imagine to have been my own wide-eyed expression as I listened to the girls I have distantly referenced in my own conversations…standing before me, in person. Their clothes and voices are representative of their different cultures…but we share one heart.

I consider the distance they have traveled to be here, to share and learn…to become empowered and to use their voices to change the world. As panelist Sarah Dregnan suggested, I think of all the girls who cannot be here and I think of what I can do to help them be all that they can be…all the things I wish for my own daughters.

I am humbled by the entire experience. I am grateful to everyone here, to my friend Sabeen for making it possible for me to attend and especially to Belinda Stronach for creating this meaningful forum. I was able to say a big thank you to Belinda Stronach who was gracious and warm and welcome to future collaborative efforts.

I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes, from someone I consider to be a truly amazing woman:

“Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.” — Helen Keller

This resonates within me.

My campaign “I Believe She’s Amazing” is a start…a way to express gratitude for the amazing girls and women we share our lives with…and to raise the level of appreciation, admiration and love for the beauty and hope that every girl and woman represents in the world. Once we have reached our 1,000,000-person goal, the next step, is to create a foundation that sponsors girls and women’s initiatives around the world, because we believe they are amazing!

This is the juicy stuff I teach in my transformation workshops…and I am in love with living it…to do the things that make us come alive. Well this event has made me come MORE alive.

In the words of the final speaker, the eloquent Reeta Ray, President of the Mastercard Foundation, “What is it you can do with your own power and circle to change? What ripple effect will your actions have on the world? How is your ray going to shine? How are you going to make a difference?”

Don’t ever forget one person can make a difference in this world…that one person is YOU!

And then there were 14, 200…

What started out as a simple act of kindness from a friend…the words “I think you’re amazing” as the post script to every conversation we shared, has become a global movement.

Our views on YouTube are up over 14,200 in just over one week…and climbing as we reach for the goal of 1,000,000 views.

The greatest joy is feeling the ripple effect that is reaching out and uniting amazing people around the world…in Italy, Greece, Mexico, the UK, India, Australia and Germany among others.

I am inundated with recognitions being sent to hundreds of amazing women daily by people who have joined the movement.

I am inspired beyond belief. I want to share some of the stories of the amazing women-mother’s, sisters, aunts, friends-I am hearing about. If you have a short story of a woman who has inspired you please let me know and we can share it.

Thank you for being a part of this journey…let’s keep spreading the joy…the world can never feel “too good.”

Never stop believing one person can make a difference…that one person is YOU!

With love and gratitude,
